The City offers a variety of amenities to its residents:

The Department of Public Works collects recycling, refuse and special items, offers SMARTLEAF® compost and wood mulch, plows and treats City streets during snow events, plants and landscapes and so much more!  Twice a year the Department hosts large clean-up events for residents to dispose of electronics and bulk trash, shred documents or pick up compost.

The Department of Youth, Family and Senior Services provides children and families with quality clinical services, community based programs and events that strengthen children’s well-being, mental health and family relationships.  The City’s Senior’s Program provides assistance, advocacy, events and local transportation to our senior residents.

The Department of Public Services helps keep our residents safe by making sure buildings are up to code and that neighborhoods are peaceful and tidy.  The Department oversees many of the fun events the City holds every year!

The Department of Planning, Community and Economic Development brings exciting new businesses to the City, plans new community spaces, manages our mBike bikeshare, manages the two City farmers markets, creates Community Gardens, oversees new building projects and so much more.
